Buechner famously writes: “Listen to your life. See if for the fathomless mystery that it is…”. It’s not the listening that I seem to have trouble with — it’s the remembering. I believe that truth is revealed to me in many circumstances; but I simply forget. Sometimes I madly write down the moments of truth for fear of forgetting — if I’m lucky I’ll indelibly write them in song.
